This will cause some consolidation on various premium channels by causing people to think if they really wanna buy so many movie 'broadcast channels' or pay less than 1/3 the price of all you can eat streaming vod, stored remotely on server "storage farms" available 24/7 on your schedule, no the broadcast companies. It doesn't "suck" they just disable the record function for premium VOD. As I said before, it doesn't really bug me.

Hmmm...I record VOD all the time, but not with Comcast's DVR. TiVo and a programmable remote with macro capability makes it a one-button affair. :D Then burn to DVD on the same box. Life is good.
Yeah, I'm poor =) I use TWC's DVR because I don't have the cash for a Tivo.
