I stopped renting DVDs and moved to usenet after seeing two DVDs in a row with 10+ minutes of advertizing in the beginning that I could not fast forward through.
If I'm paying for it, then why are there ads?

| Because they can, People really need to stop buying and start return this styuff, i have a dvd that has 5 mins of commericals in the begging, and cannot be skipped. I decided i would not buy from that company again. They need to invent a DVD player that doesnt accept commands from a DVD. Amazing how people give up freedoms and never say anything. |

| I haven't seen a DVD where I can't use the menu, chapter or fast-forward buttons to skip the commercials/previews. What companies/studios are doing this? I'd love to see someone make a Web site with a list of DVDs that have this "feature."
Problem is, the only real option is for people to stop buying DVDs from a particular studio, and not many people are going to do it. And returning a non-defective opened movie is impossible at any major retailer. -- If everything seems to be going well, you've obviously overlooked something. |
