 clinky join:2003-08-04 Lincolnwood, IL | To all those who've almost given up, don't. My friend had the same problem, always told he can't get it or he needed LD package BS. I told him to suck it up and be more firm on the next call. Rejected 4 times. Then I told him to just say something like this with a pissy voice, "if you can't provide the service that I require then I would like to cancel my current dsl account immediately and just move over to cable, I bet they would be very happy and give me better customer service with no hassles about LD."
No sooner did he finish that thought when the rep says, "I'm sorry you feel that way, let me put you on hold and ask my manager" and the rest is history. The manager says okay, then they confirm your number and do a distance test and say you qualify. End of story. I don't know what holds more weight, the cancellation bit or that your gonna get cable. Anyway, just keep trying and be more affirmative. |
