tapeloopNot bad at all, really.Premium join:2004-06-27 Airstrip One kudos:1 | what, no fine? 9 years is not nearly long enough for a spammer IMHO, but when he gets out, he still has $20mil in the bank! Where's the fine? Should be $1k for each spam he sent, that'd be nice. $$$ should go towards eliminating the USF. Or something. |

 | reply to tapeloop You forfeit everything that you "earned" through illegal means. So pretty much anything he purchased or deposited after they prove he started this will be confiscated and the rest may be taken to pay fines and/or reimburse those he harmed. |

So many people say that, including some judges, and it's simple not accurate. Criminals can be just as stupid with money as the rest of us: some do, many don't. As a group, criminals have higher self destructiveness & denial of risk factors too (especially the ones who get caught), which manifests in behaviors with money. |

 | reply to Skippy25 And, dont forget the IRS will still get their peice of his ass for tax evasion, regardless of if he looses it all or not. |
