Re: No pity here In what way doesn't this person deserve it? They didn't care about the people they spammed did they, they had multiple connections spamming 24/7 with no reguard that most of the people didn't want anything they were sending, along with not stopping spamming these people who didn't want it obviously.

ciucca join:2004-05-24 Westfield, NJ | But, answer me this. Do you want all the junk mail that shows up in your mail box each day, do you want the email advertisements(spam) that come from the corporations each day, unsolicited? They don't care about the people they spam 24/7 with no regard that most people don't want what they are sending.
Where is jeremy any different from the corporate spammers? |

BlitzenZeusBurnt Out CynicPremium join:2000-01-13 kudos:2 | Corporations that do spam usually don't do it themselves, and hire another company/person to do the spamming. Get rid of these scapegoats, and they will have to be responsible for their own actions. |

| reply to BlitzenZeus They deserve legally-sanctioned punishment. In a society of laws, not men.
Until you can show me the statute that says otherwise, I maintain that they don't deserve to be forcibly screwed in the ass as part of their debt to society.
But really, I wasn't commenting on the punishment. I was commenting on the strange state of a mind that responds to the idea "jail" with "anal rape". It seems downright unhealthy to me. |

1 edit | reply to dave I happen to know someone who went to jail for molesting a 4 year old girl in the worst way, and here we have someone who has continually tried to scam people for years along with annoying people with e-mail they never have wanted. They need all their assets associated from this taken away from them, serve a long term in prison, then come out of prison broke, and homeless with an appreaciation for the rights of others after they have had theirs voilated themselves.
Sometimes people only learn after something equal, or greater has been done to them, obviously noting has worked yet... -- My hourly rates: $25 per hour. $35 per hour if you want to watch. $45 per hour if you want to help. $75 per hour if you tried to fix it, and failed. | reply to dave You can blame the Taylor troll for that one. That anon almost single handedly made prison sodomy a household word on this board. |

| reply to BlitzenZeus Two points:
1. This guy's crime does not seem to me to be of the same order as 'molesting a 4 year old girl', which has to rank pretty close to the top of evil deeds. But that is irrelevant, because ...
2. I believe in appropriate punishment to the fullest extent of the law. There's no law saying that getting screwed in the ass is a punishment that can be inflicted on anyone. |

Somehow I doubt that these people are condoning homosexual rape, but the sad fact is that it is very much a part of life in prison. | reply to dave Well Dave BlitzenZeus's salient point about depriving a crook of all assets acquired as a result of their criminal conduct is spot on esp. in this case.
As far as jail/sodomy it is a reality and perhaps a deterrent as a graphic picture of life inside the big house should you become a resident of the state. |

Here's a guy that doesn't know any Corrections Officers. I know several. (Family, friends, etc.) Gang rapes DO happen and damn frequently, along with vicious beatings, and illicit drug use (almost more inside than out). More so in Federal Prison than Local Jail but it IS a "problem" (read: Corrections can give two shits a crook is being pounded by other crooks) they sweep under the rug... -- -CK Stress is when you wake up screaming and you realize you haven't gone to sleep yet... | I am not claiming that such things don't happen. I am simply astounded at the knee-jerk mentality that, on hearing that someone's been given jail time, posts something to the effect of "I hope he gets sodomized".
It happens practically every time a jail sentence is reported in any DSLR forum.
My astonishment has two factors:
1. The strange mental state of someone who needs to make such a comment. Amateur psychologists please note, these posters never wish the guy gets beaten up, or any other such thing. It's always "f*ck him in the ass".
2. The sheer immature visciousness of such a reaction. |

GlobalMindDomino Dude, POWER Systems GuyPremium join:2001-10-29 Hollywood, FL | reply to ciucca The biggest problem really is that the vast majority of this "industry" consists of nothing but fraud artists.
I always find it funny when the association of marketeers or whatever they call themselves raises holy hell over the fact that they have the right to do this, that and the other thing (with your information that they bought from, I dunno your state DMV perhaps)....and seem to try and lump these guys into that lot. IMNSHO - they would do well to distance themselves from this lot of crooks.
Sorry, but legitimate marketing is one thing - outright fraud is another. SPAM isn't just about marketing email in my mind but it also includes virus laden phishing etc. It's all the same crap to me.
Yes, we have had major issues curbing even generally legit companies marketing efforts - the National DNC Registry as done diddley for the "Hey, want a new mortgage" phonecalls I get. Mostly I think this is because the company outsources their efforts and then turns their heads to what that company may do in their name.
I still think though, if they are legal/legit you can at least have a better shot of finding them and possibly even regulating what they do. Ongoing 1st amendment arguments aside & all. If these jackholes really thought they were doing something "legit" they wouldn't hide behind bogus names, use scads of zombie machines to forward their crap or use bogus email addresses.
To hell with this dude, and all like him. He deserves the hell he gets....and I hope there is plenty more where this came from.
