Well Dave BlitzenZeus's salient point about depriving a crook of all assets acquired as a result of their criminal conduct is spot on esp. in this case.
As far as jail/sodomy it is a reality and perhaps a deterrent as a graphic picture of life inside the big house should you become a resident of the state.
