I think some of you make WAY to big a deal over SPAM.It's an inconvenience nothing more.Why don't they spend the tax payers dollars and go after some real criminals.You know those people who murder,rape and commit real crimes.I think their are a lot more important issues for congress and our courts to be dealing with besides a little piece of email offering to sell you viagra.Let me rephrase.People buy stuff from spam mail otherwise it wouldn't be an industry.Well that's my 2 cents.

Here are two people that don't see the "big picture". This is the DIGITAL age people!! More and more services are being brought online each day. ANYTHING that conflicts with the progress of digital activity is a serious problem. Think of making a purchase online and your bandwidth gets clogged because your Outlook detected new mail and it's serveral 100 spam messages...your connection is broken, your transaction incomplete or duplicated and you now have to deal with these charges. That sound fun? What about if you have VOIP in the same scenario and you lose your bandwidth just as you are dialing E911 and you can't get an outbound connection...?

Of course these are extremes but with TV soon to be over broadband along with movies and other media...blocking the internet is akin to jack-knifing a rig across your favorite busy interstate. We have TWO Exchange admins who do nothing but optimize/configue mail traffic due to spam and viruses (our co is sufficiently large that this is a huge problem) You bet your ass they'd love a shot at this assmunch!!

seeing as how i get maybe 50/day it makes no diffrence, until that day comes i could care less about spam, takes me 2 seconds to get rid of all of them. the only time it bothers me is when i get crap on my blackberry but that is like 5-6/week at most.

Another member for the "Oh-Sh!t-I-should-have-done-something-sooner" club member #2,465,891. It's like Napster...they could have "fixed" the industry before then but now they have this unstoppable juggernaut that will never be contained. Too many people think it's cool or easy (which it is) that more start than can be stopped. What do you think will happen when people do the same with SPAM??
