Here's a guy that doesn't know any Corrections Officers. I know several. (Family, friends, etc.) Gang rapes DO happen and damn frequently, along with vicious beatings, and illicit drug use (almost more inside than out). More so in Federal Prison than Local Jail but it IS a "problem" (read: Corrections can give two shits a crook is being pounded by other crooks) they sweep under the rug...

| Re: No pity here I am not claiming that such things don't happen. I am simply astounded at the knee-jerk mentality that, on hearing that someone's been given jail time, posts something to the effect of "I hope he gets sodomized".
It happens practically every time a jail sentence is reported in any DSLR forum.
My astonishment has two factors:
1. The strange mental state of someone who needs to make such a comment. Amateur psychologists please note, these posters never wish the guy gets beaten up, or any other such thing. It's always "f*ck him in the ass".
2. The sheer immature visciousness of such a reaction. | |

And in case you're still not getting this, I haven't yet said "poor criminal". I've been talking, in the main, about the mentality of the crowd that cheers for buggery.
Sure, I'd be as appalled at a prison system that considers stabbing by inmates to be just punishment, as I'd be appalled at a prison system that considers rape by inmates to be just punishment. | |
