Firefox + SBC Yahoo!I use Firefox as my main browser which i'm sure many others do as well. Am I the only one annoyed at the fact that SBC Yahoo media does not work on Firefox? Launchcast, news videos, video articles, etc. won't work on Firefox and requires one to open a seperate IE or Netscape window to view or listen to Launchcast. The only media that I can think of that does work in Firefox is the Today module on my personal SBC Yahoo homepage which uses Macromedia Flash to display its videos. This isn't a browser issue, this is an issue on the server side. I couldn't think of anywhere else to rant about this so it's going here. |

You can thank the website managers for a design that is dependent on ActiveX and other MS proprietary coding. But don't blame Firefox, it isn't their fault. If Firefox did everything IE did there wouldn't be a need for Firefox would there? |

I'm using mozilla. It handles news videos. I haven't tried the other types of video that you mention.
I do vaguely recall that it didn't work the first time I tried it. So I retried with IE, which worked. Apparently that initialized something, and news videos have worked since then on mozilla. That's with XP home. |

There are plugins for Firefox (extensions) which will allow you to open IE stuff in firefox. also, you can download a plugin for sbc yahoo toolbar which will give you access to everything. » addons.update.mozilla.or ··· tensionsI never launch IE for anything, and i have no problems. just download the appropriate extensions for your usage. |

Keep in mind that the ActiveX plugins for Mozilla/Firefox open your browser up to all of those security problems associated with ActiveX. |

Well the only 2 choice you have is to use the horrible IE browser or use the Avant browser which in my opinion is awesome. » www.avantbrowser.com/IE compatible, fast, secure, and has better features that IE. |

I run launchcast through the Yahoo Messenger while running Fire Fox at home. |
