|
 | yeah. that same as tracert but pathping give more information if you have more several problems with internet networks then use pathping program to find a spot for you and if inside issue of your isp networks then call your isp or if it is outside issue then there is nothing for isp to do with it... |

1 edit | Re: pingpath is nice tool i am hand speaking as foreign language... also, i will be learning to speak in other chinese foreign language too that is protected under free speech rights... dont tell me to learn exactly english language, that would be violation of free speech law. if you dont like my kind of language speaking then dont post here. |

|
 | dude... if you dont like my kind of language then please dont post in topic here... thank you. or, if you are patience with other foreign lanuage or basic english then you can post it in here... if not, please do not post in this topic! |

| reply to predlinux I don't get what pingpath and writing skills have in common all I know is this thread has swerved off course. Please if you do not understand what some one has written, either take the time to figure it out or move on. Discussions on grammar and spelling accomplish nothing and are way off topic.
So back to the topic at hand, what can pingpath do that tracert can't? |
|
1 edit | that pathping console program let you to see each router and latency even if there is problem with inside of your isp provider own networks then you should call or contact your provider service about this problem issue. and if it is outside of your provider networks then provider wont help you with network problems... so pathping is useful tool for deep network troubleshooting... just like ping plotting but i probably dont need ping plotting program... i will never go back to tracert program... now i will use pathping program as official networking troubleshooting...
i like this pathping program... so for winXP users then there should be pathping program available to winXP users then winXP users can use this pathping program to gathering information to spot source of either network or router problem...
and for tracert program it is good program as simple information... not much information in tracert... if you want do digging so deep more information then you should use pathping program can do digging out in a deep for you... |

SpearEm join:2001-02-12 Saint Louis, MO | reply to predlinux Looks like than if you don't want to go back to tracert supported in Win 9x; then you just need to move forward and use the NT, 2K , or XP Operating systems....:D |
|
 | i have windows 2000 OS, yes i agree with you that... older windows 9x OS dont have pathping program available... |

| reply to predlinux I still do not see anything in pingpath that I cannot see in tracert, it is just an alternative format. Personally I like the format of tracert as it is more compact. If I need a better tool I would use pingplotter. Sorry but I am not convinced I need to add another application that does the same thing tracert does. |

| I always liked Ping Plotter because I can set it to refresh then do whatever I was doing that was making the connection go crazy.
Of course, it's the same information as traceroute, just graphical.
Now for nifty combination information, there was this one program that would combine whois, netblock ownership information etc.. It was handy for determining who owned an IP so you could send emails to the parent ISP for abusive traffic. Something reminded me about that, although, I can't imagine what.

| I guess not, but that is what happens after a warning to keep things on topic. Speaking of which... Please can we keep this thread on topic. A discussion of good tools has not occurred in a while and is interesting. Talking about "Free Speech" on a web site is not particularly in this forum. Thank you for your cooperation! |
