I agree. When I lived out in the sticks I could not get broadband either. There are certain disadvantages to living in the middle of nowhere. Not having broadband is one of them. Oh well. -- Hey Fast Eddie... you're next! |

People in the cities could then tell the people in the farm states to shove what they are growing up their cows asses and import food from elsewhere. We'd still have money.
Get it?
We're all in this together.
However, if I decide to live on a mountaintop, no farmer is going to deliver food to me. Hell, I'd be lucky to have water. To paraphrase, you makes your choices, you takes your chances. This entitlement whining is absurd. |

The people in the farm states, "out in the boonies" could, for the most part, care less about broadband and cable TV. Why do you think they dont have those things? Because there IS NO DEMAND for them.
Imagine...Could it really be just as simple as that? |

The great thing about a free market is; I then tell the farmers to grow their own money. At which point they go back to growing my food while I go on supplying them money to pay for their needs. -- Beagles really should come in convienent 10 packs. |

Imagine...Could it really be just as simple as that? Your point is well made. Else where there is a thread about a satellite based system this is just what is called for in rural areas. Farmers and ranchers could indeed use such a system for enhancing their business. But it is something they could live without, you can't miss what you have never had. -- Low voltage Tech's are wimps, Real tech's use 45 pound filament transformers, plate voltages no less then 2400 volts with at least 10 amp's lighting 8877 triodes...BPL I'm coming to get you. |
