Oh to be six again
The husband asked his wife what she'd like for her birthday. "I'd love to be six again," she replied.
On the morning of her birthday, he woke up early, got up, made her a nice big bowl of Lucky Charms and then took her off to Disneyland.
What a day! They went on every ride in the park. The Matterhorn,Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, Pirates of the Caribbean, and the Haunted Mansion.
Five hours later she staggered out of the theme park. Her head was reeling and her stomach felt upside down.
They drove to a McDonald's where her loving husband ordered her a Happy Meal with extra fries and a refreshing chocolate shake Then it was off to a movie to see the latest blockbuster, a hot-dog, popcorn, a soda pop, and her favorite candy, M&M's.
What a fabulous adventure!
Finally she wobbled home with her husband and collapsed into bed, exhausted.
He leaned over his precious wife with a big smile and lovingly asked, "Well, dear, what was it like being six again?" Her eyes slowly opened and her expression suddenly changed.
"Is that what this crazy day was all about? You idiot, I meant my dress size!"

 | reply to laffalot Boys & Girls,
Just want to ask about the Screen Savers from G4, formerly known as TechTV. Is the episodes running, or the end of it? No more Screen Savers? I wonder those PC Tech. Education Programmes, all gone from the Astro Channel, only left those of the repeats episodes, and those PC games cheats?
The End for "Call For Help". I would hope Astro would get some other kind of Screen Savers or Call For Help for PC enthusiasts or newbie. |

Crackdown on diesel smuggling BY NICK LEONG
KUALA LUMPUR: A multi-agency taskforce will be set up to crack down on diesel smuggling and fraudulent sale of the subsidised fuel to parties not entitled to it.
The agencies include the police, Road Transport, Customs and Immigration.
This is one of three measures to be implemented to overcome the diesel shortage in the country, which the Govern-ment said was artificially created by people abusing the fuel subsidy system.

PUTRAJAYA, Thurs. A landmark National Biotechnology Policy. A slew of incentives. A dedicated agency.
These are the steps Malaysia will take from today to propel the biotechnology sector, identified as a key driver of the countrys development.
In what he termed an "historic occasion", Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi announced the setting up of the Malaysian Biotechnology Corporation (MBC) and outlined nine major initiatives to realise the countrys potential in this sector.

Leaky ceiling forces MPs to leave
KUALA LUMPUR, Apr 28: Surprised Members of Parliament were told to leave the Dewan Rakyat when the ceiling sprang a "RM80 million" leak.
Water seeped in through the ceiling, drenching the last row of Blocks A and B. No one ended up drenched, however, as those seats were empty at the time.
The proceedings were adjourned at 3.46pm when workers failed to stop the leak.
Those in Parliament suspected something was amiss when water started dripping from the lens of the in-house camera. Television sets situated at specific points, including the media centre, suddenly went blank.
"I continued even when the TV went blank," said Finance Ministry Parliamentary-Secretary Datuk Seri Dr Hilmi Yahaya, who was then winding up on the Excise (Amendment) Bill 2005.
"I had to stop when my microphone stopped working. Then the lights went out."
Speaker Tan Sri Ramli Ngah Talib said it was too dangerous to continue with the proceedings.
"The water wasnt slowing down. We didnt know what could have happened. The ceiling could have collapsed for all we know," he said .
The postponement will see the Excise (Amendment) Bill tabled at the next sitting in June, Ramli said.
Opposition leader Lim Kit Siang called it a "day of shame for Parliament".

 | reply to laffalot With the series of tremors, surely more and less will be affecting the price of high-rise building.
RM80 mil of renovation then come out with leaking roof top? Before renovation, never heard of such ridiculous event.
If foreign news reports this, can't imagine what will they think of this country. |
|
tehGekke KraaiPremium join:2003-03-21 Malaysia | [sarcasm] Rooftop materials isn't cheap, only the best imported materials flown in by plane with the well known experts from overseas can only be the ones to repair it. Lives of our MPs is at stake people. Without them we can't survive. I think add another 200 million is much better since clearly 80 million spent wasn't enough to buy the best.

Source : »65.127.124.62/south_asia/4483241.stm.htm
quote: There has been a small outbreak of zombism in a small town near the border of Laos in North-Eastern Cambodia.
The culprit was discovered to be mosquitoes native to that region carrying a new strain of Malaria which thus far has a 100 percent mortality rating killing victims in fewer than 2 days.
After death, this virus is able to restart the heart of its victim for up to two hours after the initial demise of the person where the individual behaves in extremely violent ways from what is believe to be a combination of brain damage and a chemical released into blood during resurrection.
Cambodian officials say that the outbreak has been contained and the public has no need to worry.
General Ary Serey had this to say, "We have obtained samples of this new virus and plan to learn how it starts the heart and other major organs of the deceased. We intend to use this to increase the quality of life for all."
US Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice opposed the plan saying that the Cambodian government holds a great biological weapon and should destroy it immediately. Cambodian officials have yet to comment.
A United Nations team will be dispatched to Cambodia to confirm the safety of biological research in Cambodia.
