Re: What is your speed, service price, and location? If you don't mind my asking, what do you average in ping times to most of the larger servers/websites? IE: google/microsoft/yahoo/dslreports.. And game servers?
I sure hope my pings times are low or I will complain. :( Great something else for me to worry about until my service is installed in a couple days. |

mizzer join:2003-12-12 Leipsic, OH | According to www.pcpitstop.com 's ping tests I am always in the green. My ping to the tower is usually 10 ms.
Except for the occasional high-congestion moments (lasts about 20 minutes) I have never had a problem with on-line gaming. In All-Seeing-Eye I usually have two or three pages of sub-100 pings for Battlefield 1942. Currently Guild Wars runs just fine, too.:D
Even so, when I had a problem the techs were on it, pronto. Great service!

Re: What is your speed, service price, and locatio Hi! Very interested in this service... The service I have right now doesn't work half the time, and sometimes it runs at speeds below dial-up.
When you say it varies wildly throughout the day... How much does it vary? Could you give me a good range of speeds associated with time frames. Thanks! |

Re: What is your speed, service price, and location? thebluezone.com, WISP service. I live in Syracuse, Utah.
1Meg/1Meg $29.95 They have service as low as $15.95 for 256k/256k. $19.95 for 512k/512k.
Been with them since their beginning. They have made great strides and I now get great service. I purchased equipment for $150. Now they charge $150 for equipment, $25 activation, $50 install. Or, you can rent the equipment for $4/mo.(still have to pay the activation and install). |

...trying to get a public IP now to get around NAT. I haven't seen anything close to 1mbps yet, tweaked up to 700's so far, but mostly I see 500-600's down and around 400 avg up. Not complaining too much (was on dialup before), but I hope to get closer to the 1 meg speed. |
