 | Once again... The legal, paying consumers are forced to jump through many hoops and the pirates will slide by. All these anti-piracy schemes end up like this. The people who play by the rules are screwed and the pirates will simply avoid the hoops all together. There will always be a way around it.
And to anyone who says you don't HAVE to use Windows, I say you are full of it. Yeah, we pretty much have to use Windows. I guess I could choose to use another OS, but I'd loose access to many apps I want or need. I really do not have much of a choice.
I also agree that home users should given a more lenient "home license", for more easilly transferring use to another machine and maybe allowing one copy to be installed on an additional desktop PC or laptop, etc. This interrogation when changing hardware is simply insulting. (i upgrade my hardware a LOT) I legally purchased all my OS's until XP and it's activation crap, now I pirate it with great pride. I simply refuse to justify my use of it to M$ and I refuse to give them one penny until they find a less invasive process. Otherwise, I have always glady paid for products I use.
I proudly hate M$ and the insulting way they treat thier customers...and former customers. |
