Pointe-Claire, QC | Google sucks your speed away! I regularly run speed tests on Friday afternoons, the start of the busy period in my area. Hmmmm - down to 3821kbps, but not too bad for a Friday. Downloaded and installed Google Web Accelerator - download now at 2100kbps! What gives? - I can only guess that it works like any other accelerator, i.e. APPARENT faster opening of web pages through the use of a cache. I uninstalled the Web Accelerator and am back up around 4000kbps.
Needless to say, this device is nought but eyewash.
