Yes I have starlings. But they dont seem to go near the feeder.

Ya, I dont know much about flashes. I was actually pretty close when I took these shots. Probably about 10-12 feet away. Most of these shots are just resized. A couple of the finch shots are cropped.

I'd say that this bird is a Purple Finch. Let me know if you want to learn more about telling the various finch species apart. Nice photographs! Fill flash would have again helped on the finch shots.
