Did verizon dsl or hawaiian telcom now block these ports or websites? My router is configured to receive and send any ports without any filters. Connections are all open and yet I can't find out what's wrong. I have already talked to the admin of the websites and he said they've been up the whole time.
I tried contacting verizon, no luck at all. First time they told me to use the support center software. No luck, the software gives me errors, tells me if I want to keep running scripts. I emailed verizon a second time and I get an automated response telling me that it'll be replied soon. It's been one week and they haven't replied.
Since I lost my support center cd, I decided to try download the software. On the website it just takes me to a bunch of links asking if I problems with Email or slow connection. And none of the topics seem to help me out. The weirdest thing is that I'm trying to redownload the software and yet it takes me to this other site where I can't find out how to download it. Then I tried using the verizon update software and I had a chance to upgrade the software, it says preinstalled software complete and it just stops about 80%. Nothing happens for hours. Then I did it again, same problem.
My friend who uses the same central location can't connect to that site either. But another friend who lives in Waikiki is able to connect to it. We all have DSL, except my Waikiki friend got his a long time ago.
