hiatus | I love these types of polls... Forst and foremost, they are not even close to being scientifically valid...
Second, they get pretty funny. A couple of years ago we had a KKK member and a known crook (not yet convicted though) running for governor down here in Louisiana... One of the polls commissioned by the crook asked:
"Would you be willing to vote for a self admitted racist who has a criminal record?"
Obviously the crook won...
Fast forward to a few years later and now both the crook and the candidate who was in the KKK are in prison...
Its the same with this survey... The survey says that "experts" (anonymous authority logical fallacy - »www.datanation.com/fallacies/anon.htm ) state that the LUS fibre network will be obsolete in a few years... Less than ten questions later you hear that Cocks Cox and Hellsouth Bellsouth are planning on deploying fibre... Interesting, so instead of worrying about LUS installing something that will be obsolete, the people of Lafayette will have two companies with obsolete networks that won't get upgraded because it costs too much... Uh huh.
