| Why? Why are they suddenly oh so interested in Virginia? Why aren't they rolling out these massive speeds in Arkansas, Iowa or Wyoming? It just odd to me that Northern VA is suddenly getting so much attention. Perhaps the cable companies are trying to influence policy by spoiling that section of the country until they get what they want and then giving the other 49 states the bird, as usual. I think that once the rulings are made in regards to Brand X that all of the noise will die down and suddenly the deployments of the higher speeds will stop. -- Health is merely the slowest possible rate at which one can die, and the world death rate holds at a steady 100.00% |

The northern Va area is one of crazy growth. Everywhere you look, new homes and stores are going up. I live about 60 miles south of DC, and work about 30 miles South of DC. In the area where I work, new townhouses are selling for the lower 400's. Just last year, you could get one for $275. My house is up about 55% in value since I bought it just 12 months ago.
...and the area I live and work in isn't close to what things are like in places closer to DC than 30 miles. The closer you get the higher the property values - huge differences. |
