Name Game : Yes it does..and also for you to know..

Main features
TrojanHunter has two modules built into it, namely Scanner and Guard. Scanner is the On-Demand Trojan scanner, whereas Guard is the Real-Time scanner which automatically scans the executables, DLLs and other files for Trojans.

User interface
TrojanHunter Scanner has a no-nonsense clean look, which is very easy to use. Scanning the system is a simple process. There are three types of system scan namely Quick, Full and Custom. QuickScan scans only registry, memory and system files whereas FullScan scans all the files in all the drives and Custom scan allows scanning the specified file/folder/drive.
QuickScan as the name suggests is very quick and takes a few seconds. FullScan takes a longer time depending on the drive size.

Scanner features
Scanner can scan inside archives like Zip, Rar, and Cab etc. It can scan NTFS Alternate Data Streams which is a favorite hideout for Spywares.
Apart from scanning, TrojanHunter consist additional features like Process Viewer, Autostart Viewer, NetStat Viewer, Window List and MemString.
Process Viewer provides an exhaustive list of the Process and files related to them, and it's possible to kill the unwanted/suspicious processes.
AutoStart Explorer is again a very good tool, which provides information about Progams which start automatically when Windows starts. It lists auto starting programs from registry, startup folder, batch files, executables, .ini files, services and others. Also provides description about the programs that are listed there.
Window List is a unique tool which lists all the windows/module that is opened, both visible and invisible. MemString displays programs in memory with their PIDs and there is a facility to extract strings from those processes.
Apart from these tools, it consists of several Plugins which perform specialized tasks. Some of them are Registry Checker, INIfile Checker, Port Checker, LSP Checker, Script Checker etc. In a Quick/Full/Custom scan all these plugins are automatically executed. TrojanHunter has some unique features like Advanced Trojan Analyser to detect Trojans effectively.

Guard Features
Guard is the real time scanner module of TrojanHunter. It scans for predefined file types which are used by Trojans, like exe, dll etc.
Surprisingly, Guard is very light on System resources and it does not cause any delay or lockups while opening/executing programs. Guard has features like automatic cleaning of detected troajns, automatic updates which take place in background.

Performance
This is the important part of any anti malware software. TrojanHunter is regarded as one of the best tool for detecting and removing Trojans. And it is true indeed.
I tested it with PC Security Test 2005 software, which tests the detection capacity of AntiVirus, AntiSpyware/Trojan and Firewall. When it simulated a Trojan running in memory, TrojanHunter's Guard promptly popped up and showed the Trojan name/file and an option to clean it and cleaned it successfully. Cleaning is done by changing the File extension to .TCF, thus by preventing it from running again. Along with this, its registry entries are also removed.
It also detected a Trojan in one of my CDs, which was previously not detected by antiviruses and a popular free anti trojan software i use.
LiveUpdate feature is easy and it can be scheduled to update automatically. But LiveUpdate feature is not available in trial version. Also there are no offline help files for the trial version, clicking Help will take you to their online web help, which is very detailed and useful.
--
Gladiator Security Forum »www.gladiator-antivirus.com/ Missing Kids »www.missingkids.com/
