 | Recommended action Big deal! It's just the recommended action they changed. Microsoft Anti-Spyware STILL detects and lists it if you want to remove it, idiots. |
|
 | The "deal" is simple. Our trust with Microsoft's Anti-Spyware program has been tainted, and because of this I find that the program is now a liability and its safer to just remove it and use the other two programs that I atleast currently trust. |

 | Idiot - software is crap. Who cares.
Un-install it because it does not work. You are an idiot with a keyboard with time on hands stating the obvious. |

With Lance Armstrong going for number 7 in the Tour de France some how this rumor of gator getting a free ride from M$ doesn't really mean much to me. Why would anyone one run a single spyware detection tool, I mean it's not like you have to fork over any loot to download most of them.
But then It's all Bush's fault....right Oh and I heard somebody screaming on Air America that Heliburton was going to buy Gator.....at least that is what the screaming sounded like, kind of hard to understand.;) -- Low voltage Tech's are wimps, Real tech's use 45 pound filament transformers, plate voltages no less then 2400 volts with at least 10 amp's lighting 8877 triodes...BPL I'm coming to get you.

The problem with your point is, it fails to consider what this "downgrade" means for the other pieces of the AntiSpyware software. Will the automated scans that run periodically in the background still flag Claria software? What about the runtime monitoring pieces? Will they flag anything from Claria when they try to install? Unlikely. Additionally, think of this from the perspective of the users most likely to be infected...non-techie end-users. Many of them don't even know what Claria is. All they know is, MS says to ignore it, so they click OK and go on about their day - with the bloated and intrusive GAIN et. al. packages still running. |
