Re: Recommended action Very nice, it's always good to call your readers names to add weight to your argument. The problem with your point is, it fails to consider what this "downgrade" means for the other pieces of the AntiSpyware software. Will the automated scans that run periodically in the background still flag Claria software? What about the runtime monitoring pieces? Will they flag anything from Claria when they try to install? Unlikely. Additionally, think of this from the perspective of the users most likely to be infected...non-techie end-users. Many of them don't even know what Claria is. All they know is, MS says to ignore it, so they click OK and go on about their day - with the bloated and intrusive GAIN et. al. packages still running. |
