Then companies will sprout up bearing the worst adware you can imagine with the sole purpose to be bought out (and shut down) by Microsoft. It will turn into a nice way to make a few million dollars relatively quickly.
I'm still scratching my head over this one, but I don't think Microsoft would plan on buying Claria just to shut it down. Then again, have we heard anything besides rumors on this? It could all be one big unfounded rumor that just got passed around one too many times.
