Peabody, MA

hmm

The college I'm attending in the fall (Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, MA) has instituted a mandatory laptop initiative for all students. The cost is rolled into the tuition costs. This includes software, laptop, and tech. support for upkeep. This kind of thing I imagine will work much better in a college setting where the smaller classrooms I'll be in will be totally interactive. This sort of thing though you'll get kids dicking around with other things half the class and being more distracted. Not to meantion a waste of taxpayers money.

Not a waste of money for you, but for younger children it is? Ridiculous.
