Yes one of the pluses of these super low orbiting blimps is that because of their low orbit, the latency is quite minimal, so end users can have pings comparable to cable/dsl.

Did the icon picture for this article remind anyone of the scene with the flying - no - falling whale, from the recent HHGttG movie? Hmm.

On another note, should this blimp-thing fly over any optical or radio-telescopes, there will be some pissed-off scientists. But at least they can also run ads on the blimp... maybe they'll have a big LED display, and have scrolling internet banner ads or something. LOL.

I can see it now... "Now introducing, NetZero BlimpSpeed! Ten times lower latency than satellite!"
