First, who are "they," other than the investors who CHOOSE to put their money into this project and second, why elsewhere? New technologies sometimes work, sometimes they don't. If no one invested in the first airplanes because it seemed like a "bs" idea, the world would be quite different. Don't knock it because its not already happening. The idea comes first.
