[Vonage] Port Nightmare! (Long)

dscl : (Rant on)
So I had Vonage running for a couple of weeks and since all was going well I decided I would port my land line number over. Go onto their page do everything I was suppose to do and begin to wait the 20 days for the port. After 30 days and no port call them up to get a status, was told the usual "It a minium of 20 days to port.... but it now shows that the port will happen in seven days" (Sorry can't give the dates Vonage site is having issues and I can't get to my dashboard) So I wait, but after a couple of days I start to have second thoughts and decided to cancel to port. Call Vonage up get to the lnp dept and tell them I want to cancel the port. CSR tell me sure no problem, I mention that my port was schedule to happen any day now and I was concern that that the number would still be ported. She say "give me a sec to check...." comes back on the line after a couple of minutes and tells me that "There is no port date listed on my account!!" Now mind you a couple of days ago the first rep told me it was going to happen within the week!! I keep my mouth shut thinking, Well since I don't want the port better that no date is listed. Said thank you and the rep said I should a get email by the next day confirming the cancel. Next day comes and surprise no email, login to dashboard and see that the port is still listed as active!! Call up again tell the whole story to the new CSR and he tells me that he would cancel it and send me a email, I say thank you and hang up. About a hour later I get a email saying the port was cancelled, I log on to dashboard and it shows that the cancel was proses on 7/9. I think great it over...

I decided that I want to now port my land line to my cell line, call up the cell company that take all my info and said the port should be done in the next 5 to 10 days, I think WOW that sure is alot faster than what Vonage quoted. The next day I get a call from my cell company telling me they could not do the port because another port request was still active on my number!! VONAGE, how I hate thee!!!

Cell rep tells me I will need to call Vonage and tell them to cancel cell rep tells me he will even stay on the line with me while I talk to Vonage to answer any questions Vonage had. Call Vonage (With cell rep on the line with me) and tell the Vonage rep the whole story, how I was told twice that the port was cancelled but that the port request was still there. The Vonage rep seemed very confused, did not know what to do and in a attempted to get us off the line said :You will have to call Focal and tell them to cancel it, here is their 1-800 number" At this point my cell rep jumps in and tells him "Why should we (meaning me) call them, you (Vonage) are Focal's customer that should be your job. Vonage rep says their is nothing more he can do for us. We hang up on him and I tell the cell rep I'll call Focal, but you do know they are not going to talk to me since I'm not their customer. He said he knows, but to do it anyway to get the ball rolling. Cell rep says he will call Focal for me and then conf me into the call if there is a issue. after five minutes cell rep come back on the line with the Focal rep and the Focal rep tells me he can not do anything for me because I'm not their customer and that Vonage must put in the request!! Hang up on him, call Vonage again tell the new CSR the whole story, she tells me that on their (Vonage) system the port was cancel, I tell her it was never sent to Focal and that the port was still going. She tells me that she would put in a ticket to Focal and send me a email when it was done.
Hang up on her, tell the cell rep thanks for all your help, he tells me to call them back when it's cleared up and he will do the port to the cell. I decided to cover my bets and send a email to dslreports@vonvage to let them know what was going on and if they could help me. I wait to end of day for the email from Vonage but get nothing, before going home I call Vonage get another CSR tell them the whole story, she checks and tells me that Focal has cancel the port, call my cell company tell them to try the port again. Great it's over right....No

Get home and I have a email reply from dslreport@vonage and here is what it says.

Dear ********,

I am contacting you in regards to your request for your number
transfer cancellation. Unfortunately, your cancellation request was
not properly executed at the time you made the request. At this time,
I have sent a request to our carrier to cancel this transfer. However,
there is no guarantee that the transfer will be be canceled before
completion (our carrier has already scheduled a port date of 07/18). i
apologize for this inconvenience.

Sincerely,
****
LNP Dept.

What the hell!!!!!!

So know I have to pray that this port does not get done. If it does I have the nightmare of trying to get my number BACK from Vonage and to my cell company!!

(Rant off)
