Perhaps the fear of competition will lower cable and DSL prices, but BPL has yet to prove it's more cost effective or can even keep up with growing bandwidth needs.
You just need to GO AWAY!
Why?
Well,uh.
Cause flamers here say so. THATS WHY!
There's a bit more to the argument against BPL. You have to ask why after years and years of development, BPL is still in trials with few systems going commercial, despite the demand for broadband being greater than ever. While there are bugs to be worked out in any new technology, BPL is not new and the bugs are inherent to the medium selected. Do we continue to spin our wheels following a path that is a dead end?
I have to ask why BPL with its history of being a bad neighbor to wireless spectrum, false starts, and questionable claims, why does it have to be deployed? Because you say so? |
