 | How many companies/corps? Well, the new OS sounds nice, but how many of those companies/corps out there is willing to spend money to upgrade to 64bits hardwares to take advances of the OS? I doubt my company will be one, and that's CitiGroup to you. |

viperpa33sWhy Me?Premium join:2002-12-20 Bradenton, FL | I doubt the company I work for will upgrade either. Though we are upgrading everyday, they won't think it would be worth to spend the money on. It would be a big investment for a company to make and I am sure they could put the IT dollars to better use. |

 | Is Windows Vista really going to boot faster? I mean, come one, they're expecting that for the latest and greatest computers in 2006. I have XP home edition installed on a P4 1.5 ghz, 512 mb rd ram. I'm pretty sure Vista would take twice as long to boot up than XP. |

 | I don't think I'll be upgrading to Vista as XP is running fine, as well as $8,000 worth of software and hardware that is already invested in my machine. I have a feeling that hardware that is more than 2 years old won't get driver updates from manufacturers.
But my next machine will likely have Vista on it, unless some of my legacy software and even microsoft hardware is not compatible. |

 | reply to itsdamntrue They will update it with patches to make faster lol |

 | I thought that microsoft wants to lease this operating system. Does that mean we have to pay a monthly charge, quarterly charge, or yearly charge to use microsoft windows vista? |

2 edits | Call it something else M$! When are they are going to ever release a Windows version with the name Windows Perfect, huh?
Can anyone at BBR come up with a better name for it than Longhorn or Vista? Windows Windex Edition or WE for the Professional version and Windows Broken for the Home Edition maybe? -- Can't wait until my FTTC (Fiber To The Colon) gets here because boy am I constipated! O_O; |
