sekim : My wired desktop was on/off MSN Messenger yesterday several times - today it spread to my wifi laptop. Past experience is occasionally I will hear the desktop announce login w/o laptop but not frequent.
Maybe 8 or so times today they both simultaneously switched off then immediately back on, with the wired desktop maybe 3 times separately all on its own. Not ever off for long. I reset router/modem and computers with no change.

I have a di624a with same old firmware installed for a long time and haven't been fiddling with settings. So its not the router here. Seems to me its the MSN server.

MacLeod_UofT : Here's my situation:
Purchased a DI-624 Router firmware 2.42
Every once in a while I would get a "network cable unplugged" message in the system tray, and then it would instantly reconnect
MSN Messenger would lose connection, and then reconnect on BOTH of the pc's that were connected to the router via cables
Changed all of my LAN cables
Still had the problem
Upgraded the firmware to 2.52
Now, the "Network cable unplugged" message has never come back, but I still get logged off of MSN Messenger every once in a while... here's the strange part though.. both computers (still hooked up via LAN cables) were logged off at different times, and with different frequency.
Changed one of the pc's to a wireless connection
Both computers are still being logged off of MSN.

Has anybody else experienced this? Any solutions? Did the firmware upgrade from 2.42 to 2.53 only eliminate the "Network cable unplugged" message, and not solve the problem? I'm about at my wits end here...

I just got logged off of MSN...
