| Nobody fights anything in court anymore. Fact is the majority of lawyers advise their clients NOT to fight charges these days because the court system loves to throw the book at people.
A close friend of mine was RAPED, and the PD she reported it to refused to believe her, and filed charges against her for "filing a false police report". Her lawyer's advice? Settle, don't fight.
Nobody has the balls to fight anything in court these days, least of all, the lawyers. They get paid whether it's fought or not, but settling means less work for them. |
