Re: Vote: Gnome or KDE

I picked KDE because...well hell, I have no idea why I prefer KDE. I even think Gnome looks better and has better themes, but I always end up going back to KDE. Maybe this would be a good time to ask what's the good and the bad of each?

I am sure there are plenty of opinions out there but I think it's not so much good and bad as it is what you prefer.

Desktop screen shots anyone?

I picked KDE to start with (well, I started with fvwm95, actually, several years ago) because it was a bit farther along than Gnome at the time.

I've stayed with KDE because I'm not smart enough to figure out and retain knowledge of multiple GUI's/desktops. By the same reasoning, I've stuck with RedHat. Once I've got it figured out (pretty much now), I'm turning my efforts to learning the apps.

So many cool apps, so few brain cells...
