I am seeing the same. The number on the XML status page hasn't been changing at all today, except for when justin reset it to 0. Now it stays at 0.

Now I'm not even getting IM notifications.
Edited to add: IM notification working again, but updated topics notfication still isn't.

Automatic polling isn't working for me either, but I can poll manually.

Okay, no one has posted here for 3 days, now, so I thought I'd try to see what's going on.

My updater was working just fine until Justin began posting on 2005-09-01 and then the topic updater quit working. The IM updater still seems to work.

Just a few minutes ago I had 3 updated topics without any notification in the status bar so I checked the BBR Notification Report Status and got this notice:

This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it.

Kind Mr. Sir Sir Raleigh , here, it's been changing, as noted above with discrepancies between the account's XML page, the BBR Notifier extension, and DSL's own Updated Thread page. Since there was no response to my above post, I dropped following it in detail, and presently have TBE set to auto-reload my Updated Thread page Tab (as was done prior to the introduction Ryan's very cool Extension). Perhaps after the US Holiday more will be posted on this?

I used to have TBE auto-reload that page too, until the updater came along. Boy! I sure do miss the updater.

Now, I just see what I get each time I read a topic and click "Mark Un-read" which then takes me to my Updated Thread page and can check it then. That way it doesn't put the constant load on BBR to update that page every 2 minutes, or so. Granted, I may not see a response to a post as soon (such as yours above), but it's good enough (for now).

Since 9/1 I'll get the envelope sporadically. Right now I've got several unread updated topics and the auto updater is not working at all. I really miss it. At least it's working for IM's.

Hmmm...after all weekend of not getting any notifications of topics, I got a notification today.

So I looked at my followed topics page, as well as the xml report page. I actually had 2 updated topics, but the xml report showed 1.

Edit: Ah-Ha--I realized that it shows updated topics when a topic is part of the front page news discussions, but not when it is in the forums...

The extension is only as reliable as the feed that provides it information. Unfortunately I don't control it or have the ability to modify it. But I'll let justin know that there's a problem.

Thanks. Mine hasn't worked since Justin's post of 9-1-05.

We new it wasn't the extension, Ryan F . Something on the site changed around the time of Justin's post on 9/1. Unfortunately that something broke the updated topics notification. I'm in severe withdrawal as I relied on that. I am thankful that the IM notification is still working.

Just a FYI, but version 0.9 will not work in the just released Firefox 1.5 Beta 2. The MaxVersion needs to be bumped up to 1.4.1.

The Comcast Disney Avatar has been retired.

It should work now. I've bumped the maxVersion server-side to avoid having to go through the approval process.
