fiberguy : Need some advice. I am looking for a good antivirus email solution for my exchange 2003 server that runs in my home. In the normal business world, I would slap on a comercial application at the customer's expense. Also, I am not a big fan of Symantec or Computer Associates software AND their prices for licencing.

Does anyone here know of some good open source or other "good solutions" antivirus protection for Exchange 2003 that won't break the bank?

I am really surprised that there is not a move to supply the home user with softare for this reason especially since more and more people are installing servers in their homes. The major corporations are out to sucj the most money out of people 'cuase they assume that their software will be used by the money making corporate world. I just can't see payin $1,200.00 a year in antivirus for my home network. I have the exchange server, 2 other 2003 servers, 3 media center 2005 editions, and baout 12 desktops runnings and the cost can be rediculous.

I know there are solutions out there that don't cost as much AND are sometimes MUCH cheaper or openware/share ware and often work better than the likes of Symantec "I work sometimes" antivirus.. However, I am looking for suggestions from people that have actually used the stuff and know if it's good or not.

Either post your replies here or PM me.

Thanks in advance.
