 | Everest in Overland Park Our neighborhood is now having the Everest lines installed. While progress and competition are important in today's economy, customer service and integrity are the utmost of importance. Everest's Customer Service and Integrity are questionable at best.
Since Everest was installing their main lines throughout the neighborhood, I did the right thing per the literature that I received hanging on my door. I informed them that I had a number of items that they should be aware of that go well beyond landscaping ... Sprinkler System, Invisible Dog Fence and a Dog. The Everest representative contacted me and stated that they would repair any and all damage caused by their network installation in the neighborhood.
Given the fact that I had no "Call before you dig" paint marks in the yard the week prior as they had done in the rest of the neighborhood, I was relatively comfortable that they were not going to dig in my yard. Then the Monday that they were to start the Network Installation in the neighborhood notice that the Utilities had come in that day and painted the "Call before you dig" lines in my yard. Again, I contact the Everest Representative, and she got back with me personally on that Tuesday to tell me that they would not be digging in my yard.
Upon my return from work on Tuesday, I found that Everest was indeed digging in my yard. My invisible dog fence had been broken, and the Everest Network Construction crew was using my entire 1/2 acre (approximately) as a staging ground. Given the fact that they are only allowed to use the utility right away and their WORD was not kept, I was severally upset.
I tried contacting the Everest Representative, her supervisor and their supervisor with no return phone call. The Construction Supervisor in the field told me "We don't care." (That is an exact quote). When the Construction Supervisor was asked about the Utility Right Away use and the use of the center of my yard, he asked "Do you want us driving our trucks down the right away." (That is another exact quote)
While I have read may positive reports about Everest in our area, I am surprised with this kind customer service. It is as though there is an attitude that if there is a problem we will not address it with the customer. My problem with Everest is that they did not live up to their Word, which in my eyes is an oral contract with potential customers. In addition, the Everest Construction Staff have no sense of customer service with statements like "We don't care."
Based upon this experience, I would encourage everyone to seek service from a different provider or providers. In today's world not everything is price! |
