So which is it?

The poll asks if I would buy TV from my telco. The article summary asks if I would consider. I would be very surprised if only 1/3 of existing satellite and cable subs would consider switching. If you dangle programming that costs a buck cheaper, people will jump ship. If it's a couple bucks cheaper, I bet quite a few people would jump. This is regardless of the fact that the technology used may be better (newer) then what cable companies and/or satellite companies currently offer.

I know I personally will definitely consider switching. I have Dish currently and am happy with it. But I wouldn't mind eliminating rain fade all together as well as the potential to get (basic) CATV on all my TVs without having to have a receiver. If Verizon can match my dual tuner DVR at the same price or cheaper for (nearly) identical programming, why shouldn't I consider switching?
