South Elgin, IL | OK. I got DoD:S to run on a MX4000 and a 5700LE. But it won't run on a GF6200. I know it is not the card or the PC. It has to be the Steam Update.

South Elgin, IL | Yes I did. Still a problem with the 6200. I have to launch the game in window mode then once in a game go to options and select full screen. Something in the last update must have done it. |

They are nice enough to bother working on Lost Coast and give that for free, they gave blue shift for free as well... the company needs to make money somehow and I think the pricing of DOD:S is good.

| $20.00 is cheap. Of course I ordered another copy for my other Steam account and only paid $17.96 and no tax. I will say it again. Better then $50.00 for BF2.
And I fixed the fps on the 6200 card. I changed it to dxlevel 80 and I'm back up to 60 fps. Getting 84 on the 5700LE card witch is a surprise.
Had some fun games this afternoon. |

Well, after playing maybe 2-3 hours worth of DOD:S I have to say I am disapointed.
Sure, graphics are nice, the levels, models are great but the gameplay just doesn't seem to be there.
The weapon balance doesn't seem to even exist. Riflemen with no pistol...  and those rifle grenades are just 
The tommy seems to be the dominating SMG of choice, the STG is nice with single shot for range though.
Going prone has been changed drastically, way to damn slow. And don't start with the "in real life" crap, you can prone with a rifle faster than that in real life, I should know, 6 years USMC.
Ironsights... worthless and were never needed. And if you are going to put them in do it for all weapons
The maps still seem a bit buggy, getting stuck in various places, hanging on corners, etc.
Yes, I understand the game needs a patch, but damn, the DOD team held back so long to get a near perfect release and this just feels meh of a game.
Now remember people, this is my opinion. I like it yet I don't like it. DOD:S could be so much more, regular DOD is still hands down the best. |

My biggest complain is the no pistol/no bayonet in the rifleman. It is a huge handicap when going into a building, you can even whip, all you can really to is pop up your iron sights, and even those irons sights suck in this game.
