Your speed through the Road Runner Newtwork is just fine.  They can't help how fast a site out on the internet responds.  If you were to complain they would dismiss this saying "It isn't our issue, through our network your speed is fine".<br><br>Sorry, but you don't have a valid complaint.  The site you are tracing to is responding slow.<br> </DIV>I've seen that answer too many times- it's a canned 'pass the buck' answer. Problem being, when the problem hop is the one between your internal (rr) network and an outside router- it _IS_ 50% roadrunner's problem because it affects traffic coming from their network to that route. Chances are it's going to take network techs on both networks to work out a better route or fix the latency between the hops.  I also assume ATDN is the contracted backbone for NYC,  in which case RR is footing the bill and is responsible for that network throughput as well.<br> </DIV>I know what your saying man.  I don't represent Time Warner in anyway what so ever.  I am just saying from experience of dealing with them, you won't get any response from Time Warner.  You can call ATDN, and report slow responding routers to them.  I have had to do that to Level 3, who is the backbone for us here in Columbus, since Time Warner wouldn't respond to it, since it is "Out of their network".]]></description>

They have your money and thats all that matters to them. Even when your speeds drop to less than half of your normal, they will tell you it's within acceptable limits. I often experience high pings during prime time hours as well. It sucks to be pinging 100+ to CS servers that you should be pinging less than 20 to. Calling them does nothing as level 1 support doesn't even know what latency is. I am sure they know of the congestion on their ATDN but they don't seem keen on doing anything about it.]]></description>
