Re: Counterspy..Sucks

Ok, just overlook the fact that I'm neither Alex or OT, but if I were I'd still be scratching my head wondering what Bozo editor let that mixed bag of data come to conclusions that were out of the scope of the "test".
The "test" was a test of "Removal of items detected"
The highest possible score was 100%, indicating it removed everything it found. 0% would be the lowest score possible, removing nothing that it found.
5 apps scored 100%
"-Microsoft AntiSpyware
-PestPatrol
-PC Tools Spyware Doctor
-Spybot
-Sunbelt Counterspy "
Then they take the first step in their attempt to rewrite some laws of mathematics, such as 100% is an arbitrary number depending on how you juice it up.
"BEST REMOVAL:
Pest Patrol — removed 30 of 30 (included cookies)
Counterpsy removed 21 of 21 (included cookies)
Spyware Doctor — removed 19 of 19 detected
Spybot removed 11 of 11 detected (included cookies)
Microsoft AntiSpyware removed 10 of 10 detected

The "test' then adds the number of items detected to the 100% scores for reasons that defy reason, concluding that
"BEST REMOVAL FROM A FREEBIE (exlcuding cookies):
Microsoft AntiSpyware (100% of 10 detections)

BEST REMOVAL FROM PAYWARE:
PestPatrol 100% of 30 items detecte

Which takes them to this illusion based conclusion.
Bottom line:
Best removal:
-Spyware Doctor,
-PestPatrol
