Now that's some good customer service!

I've never gotten help from the president of a company. Let's see, where's that last e-mail I got from a software company...

Dear Brad,
Sorry that we just sold our company. But management here at Giant Software could not resist the huge payday. I understand how aggravating it must be that this transaction occurred only days after you purchased a license for Giant AntiSpyware. Sorry about that. I am the only one left here so I will wish you better luck in the future.

On a serious note, I think I'm ready to give CounterSpy a trial run.

Re: Counterspy.

Been running CounterSpy here for past two months now
and am happy with it so far.

Gets along good with my machine.

Counterspy is a rock solid program. Run side by side with MS it picked up about fourty missed malware apps (including 12 keyloggers).

It is a recommended application for anyone's system I clean.

I'd be willing to bet he's using 98 or WinMe. I had trouble running CounterSpy on a WinMe PC - it crashed, could'nt complete a full scan and was generally unusable. And this was on a very stable, fully patched WinMe PC that had no other software installed other than MS Office and NAV 2005.

Here's the old thread: »CounterSpy users - opinions wanted

Steve, good points. There has been a significant amount of work on the Win 98SE/ME support in CounterSpy. The upcoming release of version 1.5 (end of month) should handle the issues you found on those platforms.

I am one of those unfortunate enough to have tried CS and had the same problems Steve had. I'm also a WinME user. Can i ask that when v1.5 comes out will i be able to trial it. Or will it chime up that i've already had my trial and i need to register it. Some software says that once you've trialled it then thats it. If i trialled version 1 and it's up to version 4, it still says i've had my 15/30 days. Will this be the case with CS?

1.5 will be available by late this week or early next week. It will automatically be updated through the CounterSpy interface. LOTS of changes and fixes. A significant improvement.

I use CounterSpy on a (not so solid) Windows ME machine with no problems (other than the known minor bugs they are working on).

If you're running out of trial time, just drop me an email and I can get you an extension. alexe(at)sunbelt-software.com

To the other question about whether or not this update will be available as a seperate download, yes, it will be.

Just a note--anyone on this forum can always email me directly if you have problems, questions, issues. Our support mail box is also well staff and can be reached at support@sunbelt-software.com.
