Re: Counterspy..Sucks Now that's some good customer service!
I've never gotten help from the president of a company. Let's see, where's that last e-mail I got from a software company...
Dear Brad, Sorry that we just sold our company. But management here at Giant Software could not resist the huge payday. I understand how aggravating it must be that this transaction occurred only days after you purchased a license for Giant AntiSpyware. Sorry about that. I am the only one left here so I will wish you better luck in the future. J.Anderson Custodial Department
On a serious note, I think I'm ready to give CounterSpy a trial run. -- "in flagrante delicto" |

Gets along good with my machine.

It is a recommended application for anyone's system I clean. |

2 edits | reply to DaHen I'd be willing to bet he's using 98 or WinMe. I had trouble running CounterSpy on a WinMe PC - it crashed, could'nt complete a full scan and was generally unusable. And this was on a very stable, fully patched WinMe PC that had no other software installed other than MS Office and NAV 2005.

alexeck join:2004-12-20 Clearwater, FL | Steve, good points. There has been a significant amount of work on the Win 98SE/ME support in CounterSpy. The upcoming release of version 1.5 (end of month) should handle the issues you found on those platforms.

Alex Eckelberry Sunbelt I am one of those unfortunate enough to have tried CS and had the same problems Steve had. I'm also a WinME user. Can i ask that when v1.5 comes out will i be able to trial it. Or will it chime up that i've already had my trial and i need to register it. Some software says that once you've trialled it then thats it. If i trialled version 1 and it's up to version 4, it still says i've had my 15/30 days. Will this be the case with CS?

muf 1.5 will be available by late this week or early next week. It will automatically be updated through the CounterSpy interface. LOTS of changes and fixes. A significant improvement.
