said by Olga6:My name is Olga and I am the Consumer support mgr for Sunbelt Software. I would like to address the definition corruption CounterSpy seems to have on your machine. First steps, lets try this.
Right click on the CounterSpy icon on the lower right of the computer next to the time and choose shutdown.
Then go to the following folder under my computer.
C:\Program Files\Sunbelt Software\CounterSpy Client
Then delete the following files, you will need your key handy.
gcuserdata.gcd
gcthreatauditthreatdata.gcd
gcthreatauditscandata.gcd
Close the my computer window.
Open Internet Explorer, go to Tools/Internet Options/Temporary internet files and delete files-cookies / Close Internet Explorer
Open CounterSpy by double clicking the icon on the desktop.
If you are prompted - click on later or skip.
Be sure you are connected to the internet. Once you are all the way into CounterSpy, where it shows your current system status, click on help, about CounterSpy.
You should see the current definition version next to spyware definition version.
Click on register, choose I have already purchased a license and enter in your key.
If you are unable to register after entering your key, try downloading the files direct:
