It would seem to me that this would not be very reliable, but I could be wrong. Doesn't this presuppose that:
1) Routers never go down or get flakey. 2) ISPs never have any problem(s) 3) There is never any unexpected congestion on the network. 4) All connections would always travel the same route from point A to point B
