Long Beach, CA | Question about "Home Run" line I've got Megapath (Reseller) with Covad as the provider.
I originally had ADSL 768/768 and was having lots of problems with sync. Fast forward a couple years and I decided to go SDSL thinking maybe it would make a difference.
Well it didn't. Bottom line, after having multiple techs out on multiple visits, they said I should run the SDSL line directly into my office instead of going through the phone wiring. They called this a "Home Run".
So I called to schedule an appointment for them to do that, and they said it would be a $225 flat billable charge for them to come out.
I said "WHAT?!!!" Here I am, paying $221/month for business class SDSL and they want to charge me additional money to bore a hole through my wall and run a direct line.
My question is, how easy is this to do if I wanted to do it myself?
