 | Re: Disassembling Toshiba Notebook. Teardown guide To PORTILLO, To remove the DVD drive, you have to remove one screw on the bottom. On step 2 here »irisvista.com/tech/laptops/Toshi···65_1.htm you'll find the screw on the right side from the memory hatch. (it's close to lower-right corner). Remove the screw and then follow Step 4. |

Re: Disassembling Toshiba Notebook. Teardown guides. Great website overall! The Toshiba PC Support site is useless for hardware guides.
I recently had to use this page: »www.irisvista.com/tech/laptops/T···_LCD.htm to work on a Satellite 2400-S201.
And incidentally, the Satellite 1405 & 2400 series have virtually identical chassis' as the 1415.
I also found on your site how to get into the BIOS on the 1405:
Hold down Esc at startup, then hit F1 when prompted!
Another thing Toshiba doesn't make it easy to find out! |
|
 | I managed to get into the BIOS on my wifes Tecra 9000 bios quite quickly but was annoyed about how little useful changes you could make into it. Hardly like a desktop standard bios. I wanna overclock that sucker of a 1Ghz p3. |
