Re: [DW6000] Turning proxy off seems to improve many things... nothreat33 -
You can't turn the Web Acceleration (Turbo Page) proxy in the DW6000 off. It's always on (it's enabled at the NOC). What we're turning ON and OFF is the HTTP Proxy that's set up in the Browser. In IE6, go to "Tools - Internet Options" and click the "LAN Settings.." button on the Connections Tab. If the Proxy in the browser is set up and you put a check in "Use a proxy server for your LAN..." in the Proxy Server section, you're using the browser proxy. If you uncheck "Use a proxy server for your LAN...", you're not using the proxy. To set up the proxy in the browser , click the "Advanced.." button (in the Proxy Server section) and enter 192.168.0.1 , port 87 in the "HTTP:" box. -- DW6000 CE/Std on G4R/1370H, Gateway 66.82.156.27, Signal ~76, Wired LAN, 2-WinXP Pro w/SP2, 2-Win98SE |
