If he can afford a $740,000 house then he must be doing something right. People are actually responding to the spam and buying what he has to offer. So what is spam to me and you was actually an offer that many people took him up on.

So if I go down the street and sell a suitcase full of cocaine out of the back of my car to some guy then it's ok? Hell, I have a product (coke) and he must be interested in it. I guess it's ok then.

But there are other ways to get on a spammers list than just signing up for something online or at a brick and mortor store and you have absolutely no control over it. For instance, I have never ever signed up for anything here on my caltech.edu email and I get spam all the time.

You have a caltech.edu e-mail addy and aren't smart enough to install a spam filter? Wow. That place has really gone down hill.

No, I know how to run a filter but we are restricted to what we can install here on our systems. There is a filter on the email server though, but we all know how well those work.

Well, between the precautions I take and Comcasts spam filter, I get zero spam.

Well, he wasn't selling cocaine on the Internet, or he'd obviously be in jail right now.

So how does this analogy apply here?

My analogy holds. Obviously he was doing SOMETHING WRONG for the Feds to get him.

So, if he did something wrong and he was making money off of it then he wasn't doing "someting right" according to anonymity user @verizon.

Just like selling coke out of the back of my car.
