Re: LowFat Broadband exactly.
Also, I don't think the majority of users would want to switch to something 20 times slower than what they currently have to save a few bucks. I know I wouldn't. |

| Yeah if I want to save a few dollars each month, I will carpool, or walk more often, save gas money you know? I wont eat as expensive meals, heck I don't even have a long distance plan on my home phone or caller id. Broadband is much too important for that, the information at my fingertips instantly saves lots of time and hassle, I can get more done in less time on broadband and that frees me up to do other things. |

en102Canadian, eh? join:2001-01-26 Valencia, CA | Just like cellphone plans, all the plans start coming out with more bells and whistles standard, which many do not use or care for, and becomes a cash cow. The days of the cheap $19.99 for 150 minutes of coverage don't exist anymore, just as cheap internet for $25/month (DSL requires phone line so 'techinically' it might exist - $14.99 + $9.99 local land line). But they are getting hard to find without bundles.
All of it equals $$$ |

That's true for most of the people who frequent the site, but not necessarily the joe sixpacks who surf and email. Half the clients I do computer work for wouldn't even notice the difference between 768kbps and 4mbps. The only saving grace is that they've been using broadband for a long time and are more or less used to paying ~$40/month for it.
