Their new promos are offering 1.5 /800 for under 30 dollars. For many CC HSI customers without comcrap cable TV they are paying 60 bucks for HSI.. this is not a bad offer by Quest. I know Quest is gaining allot of customers in Albuquerque this year and its all about price. As the broadband matures and saturates, it will become more and more price driven. There is nothing CC will be able to do about that. At some point in the future, price will be the driving factor in gaining market shares.. Its like that with everything.
But after my year's promo is up with Quest, I will probably go back to CC for their promo.. I have been playing ISP's against each other for years going from one promo to another.. I never have any down time since I disconnect once I have the other going.. It only takes 5 minutes to set up a ISP. CC is really good about pro rating the bill on the day of disconnect.. even if the line is still live.. they don't charge once you call and say disconnect. I have saved a few thousand dollars in the last five years by jumping around. I know allot of folks will say its not worth it.. But usually after a few months of paying the CC predatory HSI price of 60 dollars is just too painful.. And I have always felt it was not fair since the analog TV service here is full of issues with ingress/wavy lines and noise. Why should I have to deal with comcrap TV to get a fair HSI price? In the end, I win anyway.. Its just takes a few minutes work once or twice a year. |
