 | "Quality Resources" telemarketing scam these people have called my wife like 4 times in the last 4 days. she just hung up on them first 3 times so tonite decides to start talking to them. they want to give her some 40 dollar gas voucher (hmmm high gas prices now free gas) and a 30 day free trial of some coupon crap. the kicker is they say they already have her credit card info from online purchases she made. so instead of finding out if they really do she hangs up on them again. i look on google dont see much on them except one or 2 stories where they said same thing. i tried calling back phone number they called from and it just rings and rings. does anyone have anything on these people and im still not sure if they have her info for real. another thing is i just got the phone # thru vonage about a month ago or so in my name only so how would they be calling for her on that number ? |

 | Never respond to telemarketers I take the telemarketers asked specifically for your wife, in her name?
First, nothing is ever free. You may get something upfront for free, but you may be signing up for something monthly, and until you cancel you will be billed or charged.
Second, since we are talking about telemarketing, you really should not respond or ever buy anything from a telemarketer. |

You may want to read this thread at rip off report: »www.ripoffreport.com/reports/rip···9919.htm scroll to the Quality Resource section. It matches the story of your call, though I do not find any connection to the other Rx company that the rip off poster mentions.
Quality Resources has been around since 1996 in one form or another according to their filings in the Florida Division of Corporations: »ccfcorp.dos.state.fl.us/scripts/···RCES&r5= The president of QR Cheryl R Mercuris is also the president or an officer of these current or former Florida Corps: C.R.M., INC, CRM REAL ESTATE, INC., INTERPORT U.S.A., INC., F.T.N. OF TARPON SPRINGS, INC.,PRINCESS ENTERTAINMENT, L.L.C.
A search on QR's president, includes her aol email address: »www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&···MERCURIS
It appears from the QR company rep that wrote a reply in the Rip off report that they market a "Preferred Shoppers Edge" program. That name is linked to this company: »www.consumerbenefit.com/cbsi_sitemap.html If you bought from any of their affiliations they could have passed your info around. MGD 2 Edits= added text |

 | reply to briankelly9 I got a similar call and they knew my last 4 digits to my debit card.. scarry! I asked him how he got it and he said"it doesn't matter, how can I do anything with the last 4 digits." I told him not to be rude and to answer my question.. he went on telling me about the 40$ in gas vouchers and I asked again, "how did you get my debit card number?" He was rude and I asked for his supervisor he just spouted off a phone number to reach him and hung up. I went on yellow pages on the internet and found the number and address. It is Quality Resources 7277122221 extension #5 Address 28870 US highway 19 N Clearwater, Fl 33761 I am so upset and am thinking of cancelling my debit card. The guy I spoke to at quality control for the company who handles complaints was not very helpful either. I had to ask a lot of questions and he would not offer any information regarding how they got my card number... I asked if he had gotten it from maybe an internet order I had placed.. he said "yes". So, those secure sights are not secure after all. No more online ordering for me! Ever! I will contact the company I just ordered from too and complain. I suggest your wife does the same. This is ridiculous. Call the number above and be taken off the call list and complain! Theresa |

MGDPremium,MVM join:2002-07-31 kudos:9 | reply to briankelly9 It does look like many people get those calls, in fact enough of them to motivate the website »www.quality.org/ to post the following disclaimer:
Notice! Quality Resources Online has NO CONNECTION WHATSOEVER with the telemarketers using the name of "Quality Resources" who are reported to have recently been calling and trying to scam people into giving up their credit card numbers! So, you can all stop sending me your harassing emails...it's not us! Contact the Federal Trade Commission to file a formal complaint about that other company! We don't have anything to sell, so we have no need of your credit cards. If you want to buy anything from us, we accept CASH ONLY!
It also is the first return on a google search.
Quality Resources does not have a website AFAIK. However, they do have a registered domain: qualityresources2.com and use it for email addresses. They also have a block of Verizon IP's 65.115.184.56 - 65.115.184.63. There is a webserver with a cover page at »65.115.184.58/
If it were me, in addition to filing a complaint with the Florida Attorney Generals Office I would also contact the president/owner of QR, Ms. Cheryl Mercuris directly, and find out why she instructs her employees to repeatedly call you at home claiming to have your card info and pushing her operation.
As mentioned in my previous post, public records indicate that the owners full name is Cheryl Renee Mercuris, born 1965. in addition to the two numbers listed above, I also have Phone: 727-669-2242 Fax: 727-669-7762 and 727-669-8442. Cheryl's published email address is crmercurisATaol.com., crmercurisATqualityresources2.com might work also.
The records list a home address of 1746 Santa Barbara Drive, Dunedin, FL 34698. In addition to the business address, other addresses were: 201 Bayside Dr., Clearwater Beach, FL.. They also show that Cheryl is/was married to a Kosta B. Mercuris, her maiden name is Weiss. They were once partners and officers in a now defunct Florida Corp called SKY INTERNATIONAL MARKETING CORPORATION. Kosta is a partner in a current FL Corp: 3G GROUP, LLC and also MEDSOURCE, L.L.C. The latter of which is a medical resourcing/staffing operation: »www.medsourcetravelers.com/

 | reply to briankelly9 Quality Resources has been calling me since Monday, today I finally picked up. The operator told me that they wanted to give me a free gas card for only $1 and my credit card, which they already have would be billed only 19.99 a month if I choose to enroll in a service that gives me discounts in franchise establishments in their network. I told the operator that I was not interested in the service not the free gas coupon and she told me that the only way I could cancel is to call and cancel the services when the gas coupon and other materials come to my house and that she will be transferring me to another operator to verify my address.
When transferred to the other operator she wanted me to say that I agree to accept the service. I told her no I would not agree and do not want the $40 gas coupon. She continued to question me on why I would not accept this free gas coupon and just cancel when the materials arrive; I replied that I might miss the mail some how or forget to cancel, she then continued to give me explanations on what to do and even question me as to why is it that I do not open my mail each day. At that point I thought she went entirely too far and reiterated that I DO NOT want they $40 gas coupon and please do not call me again. She disconnected the call afterwards.
This company is too pushy and when I told the first operator that I did not want to enroll or receive the coupon for free gas they were in the wrong to say that I could not cancel through them. The second operator totally overstepped her bounds by questioning, and questioning me, obviously with the hopes that she would wear me down into just saying ok. I did not conform, but I am sure plenty of people have.
I made complaints to the Florida Attorney Generals Office and the Fair Trade Commission that was listed on this site.
Thanks for your help and hopefully if enough of us complain that this company of rude people will be put out of business. |

 | I just hung up from a call from 'Quality Resources'. The story was identical to those above; gas vouchers, 1 dollar fee, other recurring fees, etc. They already had the last four of the credit card also. I pulled up this website while still on the phone with the guy. I've heard of these scams before, and the next step is usually an attempt at charging the card within minutes of the call. I immediately called the credit card company, notified them of the call, froze all actions on the card, and had a new one with a new number issued. That is the only way to insure against any unwanted charges to your card. Beware of these scams, they get trickier every day. The credit card companie's rules for authorizing purchases have become way too lax, and criminals will do whatever trick it takes to their advantage. There's nothing rude about hanging up on someone who calls you asking to spend your money. |
